Tell Me You’re Mine is the first book in the new series The British Billionaires。 This was also the first book I have read by this author， and I was blown away reading this book。 It was well written and one of those “I can’t put down” type of books。 Damian was a swoon-worthy hero and Nicole was a sassy heroine！ The chemistry between them was hot and jumping off the pages。 Damian was so sweet and was trying to help his twin brother go through a rough time in his life。 Even though his help was det Tell Me You’re Mine is the first book in the new series The British Billionaires。 This was also the first book I have read by this author， and I was blown away reading this book。 It was well written and one of those “I can’t put down” type of books。 Damian was a swoon-worthy hero and Nicole was a sassy heroine！ The chemistry between them was hot and jumping off the pages。 Damian was so sweet and was trying to help his twin brother go through a rough time in his life。 Even though his help was detrimental to his own reputation and life。 You couldn’t help admiring and falling for him。 Nicole was a hardworking， strong woman but insecure in her personal life。 Damian had a hard time getting her to see her value but eventually， she becomes more secure with herself。 I can’t wait to read the next book in the series。 This book hinted at Dylan’s problems but never disclosed them， so I am looking forward to discovering why he let his brother take all the blame for his actions。I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 。。。more

I checked this out primarily because it was free with my Audible membership and I wanted to read a couple of billionaire romances while avoiding problematic alpha-holes。 I'm reviewing it mainly because there was plenty to like about it despite it not being top tier writing， and I feel it deserves recognition for that。 （view spoiler）[This book has plenty of problems。 It features a number of tropes - meet cute is when they're seated together on a long flight， he's a billionaire H while she's in cr I checked this out primarily because it was free with my Audible membership and I wanted to read a couple of billionaire romances while avoiding problematic alpha-holes。 I'm reviewing it mainly because there was plenty to like about it despite it not being top tier writing， and I feel it deserves recognition for that。 （view spoiler）[This book has plenty of problems。 It features a number of tropes - meet cute is when they're seated together on a long flight， he's a billionaire H while she's in crisis management， oops he's a Duke and didn't mention it， there's a secret identical twin who is a bad boy （often called a manwhore， ugh）， there's significant just-tell-them-the-thing-already drama - so the plot is largely unoriginal， creating a reasonably forgettable story。 There's not a huge amount of meaningful character development and plenty of non-essential detail is left by the wayside， as is so common with romance。 H also speaks of women as "females" and talks about h as "his woman" here and there， which I know some people aren't keen to read。 Since he's not otherwise misogynistic and largely plays against the bildom type， it didn't chafe for me。 One of the more unique aspects of Tell Me You're Mine is that our h， Nicole， is plus sized and expresses a lot of self-consciousness about her body。 It's realistic （worrying about sitting on H's lap and her weight being too much for him， etc）， but not body-positive， which some people may not like， BUT for me this is balanced out by H constantly telling her how beautiful she is and how much he loves her body。 This changes it to being more a part of their relationship dynamic， and is the author choosing to create realistically flawed characters， which I appreciate！ And H never comes off as tacky or false， just adoring。 I kind of imagined her with a Gwendoline Christie physical frame， as she is repeatedly described as tall and curvy。 I really enjoyed how Damian is so totally smitten with Nicole in almost the whole book， which leads me to my favorite detail。 The best part of this fluffy little fairy tale is the treatment of the ultimate conflict， in which h is at the airport after major-plot-misunderstanding happens， and H shows up and is trying to convince her to stay and hear his side of the story。 Pretty typical set up， BUT THEN he's just like "Wait， I'm sorry， I'm being an ass。 I can't bully you into submission。 It's completely your choice to stay or not。 I'll be over there if you change your mind。" READERS， WE HAVE AGENCY！！！ YASSSSS！！ He really does go round the corner to sit down and I won't spoil the rest。 That's it， really。 If I think about it， this does feel true to character for Damian， and if I did a closer reading I could probably define him more thoroughly as an atypical bilrom lead。 Regardless this kind of thing （H clearly handing h complete agency， his own fate and emotions be damned） should be a lot more common than it actually is， in the romance genre。 That's why I'm here， to thank J。S。 Scott and to celebrate this lovely moment by calling it out with a happy review。 Thank you！（hide spoiler）] 。。。more

Overall， I really enjoyed this story！ I’m bummed the rest of the series isn’t out yet。 I love the tease for the next story！One gripe I have is I really hated the airport scene。 It totally ruined the feeling and seemed disjointed。 The book is totally worth listening to， so don’t let this one issue stop you from a wonderful story。
